Bryx app Beta - SMH
CHS providers have been chosen as the exclusive beta test site for the next roll out of Bryx and URMC-
Strong Hospital alerting system, which is an extension of the current trauma notification functionality.
Beginning at 0900 on Wednesday 1/18/2017 beta 2.0 will go live.
A few notes from Dr. Cushman:
- The Bryx App should be used to provide prehospital notification for ALL patients going to SMH
and SMH ONLY. (Adult and Pediatric);
- Performing prehospital notification using the Bryx App should NEVER compromise patient care of
provider safety during this test phase;
- For any patient that a CHS provider would normally call in to SMH (STEMI, Stroke, Trauma, Sick
patient, etc.), the provider should BOTH use the app AND call in to standard medical control
(adult or pediatric). This level of redundancy is critical to patient care during this test phase;
- Medical Control orders shall not be requested or received through the app. Please continue to
call Med Control as per protocol;
• This test is ONLY for CHS. For provider working at other agencies, hold off using the app for the
moment.
To facilitate this next round of beta testing, an app update has been pushed out. Please be sure to
update to the newest app version.
