Seal Color Coding

Currently, we are stocking a number of colored seals for various kits/bags in our loadout. To avoid confusion, we will attempt to remain true to this scheme so we don't run out, and we know what each symbolizes:

Blue - RSI Kit Seals - blue seals should only be used on RSI kits and have an orange sticker on them with the expiration of the first medication - usually Rocuronium.

Yellow Pull-Tight Seals - cabinets in the ambulances, Peds Kits, MTKs, etc. Basically anything NOT ALS.

Green Pull-Tight Seals - ALS medications tackle box (ALS Bag) ONLY. These seals are more expensive since they're sequentially numbered.

Green Tamper-Evident Seals - ALS Bag compartments - IV solutions and IO kit ONLY. These seals are also sequentially numbered.

Red and Yellow Tamper-Evident Seals - Controlled Substances Kit seals - yellow, full loadout; red, partial loadout (usually less than 400 mcg Fentanyl but more than 200)

Please remember that RSI Kits may not have Etomidate in them, as it expires we are discontinuing its stock.

Please also remember to label RSI Kits that are not in refrigerator as WARM and a date 60 days from the date the kit was made room temperature.
