Training & Education

BLS Core Content

BLS Core Content has three sections available for signup on the training site. Click here for more information.

New Paramedics

After a long and trying school year, Katie VanCuran, Emily Wysocarski and Zak Stahlecker have earned their NYS Paramedic certification and will begin training in the coming weeks. Please congratulate Katie, Emily and Zak when you see them!

MLREMS Advisory with Training Course

There is an updated MLREMS policy reguarding large incident rehab. There is an associated course in Cypherworks that is well put together and a good review of what the role of EMS is at an incident. The optional course is worth 1 hour of CME credit. No need to print out the cert as it can be tracked electronically

Extended Certification Expiration Dates

NYS DOH has extended EMT and Paramedic certification expiration dates by up to one year. We will be updating those dates in ePro and Target Solutions and all providers will be given a document with the new date on it. At some point the DOH may print new cards but if so that is a long, long way off. If you are on a recert path, you have a little extra time to complete the requirements, but we always encourage providers to be ready well ahead of the game. Reach out with any questions

Sim Reminder

Sim sessions are held at 315 Pinnacle Road. Please come in full uniform as you would for a road shift. Sim is meant to be a safe environment to grow as a prehospital provider. All Road cleared providers are required to complete simulaiton trainging. If you aren't on a sim session yet, please take a look in ePro as there are still some openings.
